No I do not believe so, Jokinen is born in Sweden I think, Jokinen is Minnesota bred. WC, I do not beleive those college kids can sign and go back to college, I think signing ATO's only works in Juniors case on going back. I have never seen a college kid sign an ATO, and go back to school. Either player is doing a heck of a lot of their clubs, why sign pro? The Jokinen's are not related.... Any player (college or junior) can sign an ATO and play once they are done playing. Drew Miller did it in Portland's first season and it was over the summer when he signed a pro contract, but he didn't know his sitaution. It really depends on the player and his situation. -------------------- |

depends on who drafted them cause any NHL team can sign any player and not be on a PTO/ATO, BUT any player, collegiate, or junior, forfeits his eligibility once he withdraws.
example was Chris Bourque who withdrew from BU, then turned pro, same scenario w/ Gerbe. unless you've completed 4 years in JUNIORS and are drafted.... ie Jon Bernier or even Peter Delmas w/ COL. -------------------- go Sea Dogs/MAINEiacs 2007 Presidents' Cup and 2006 EL Champions

Dear god... I read this thread and noticed that Hutch's post was the 3rd most recent one and I got nervous for a few seconds...
Then I saw the posted date and breathed a sigh of relief! -------------------- |

"I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don't know what that's about. Enjoy the game tonight." Sean Avery "I thought all the good 'wines' were in California, but I guess they come from Minnesota." GM of the Ducks Brain Burke "What is the most common injury in hockey besides losing your teeth?" someone asked.
