Bobby Ryan finished the season pretty good with the Ducks:

Goals 35
Assists 29
+/- 8

BTW, there is a nice Bobby Ryan Pirates game jersey on Ebay right now.

Rookie Tyler Ennis comes up big for Sabres

QUOTE
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- You know the cliché -- it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

You might have a dog that weighs more than Buffalo Sabres left wing Tyler Ennis, who stands tall at 5-foot-9 and checks in at 163 pounds. Ennis, 20, Buffalo's first-round pick (No. 26) in 2008, was named the second star of Friday's 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins in Game 5 that enabled the Sabres to avoid elimination from their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal. They trail the best-of-7 series 3-2, heading to Boston for Game 6 on Monday.

The rest is at the link. A two point game, and this seemed to be the place to put it, as there is no way in hell he will be back in Portland unless there is a pre-season Sabres game or something similar. He showed a lot of energy out there, as did Gerbe. A great game, if you are a Buffalo fan.

A couple of pics I took at the game of some faces we are familiar with.

Its back on Ebay again, they lowered the price. I guess compared to the Olympic jerseys that went for $3000 plus, this is a good deal.

Another former Pirate has come back to Maine to settle.....

Jeff Nelson is going to be the new head coach for the Maine Sternmen U18 team. He joins Brad Church, who is the new head coach of the Jr. Pirates, and Kent Hulst, also with the Jr. Pirates.

Todd Nelson becomes the first head coach in OKC Baron history..... Congrats to him. I think if Dino was leaving he would have been seriously considered for this job.

Also, Colton Fretter has gone to Germany to play for Kassel.
