All because of

Competition and Barriers to Entry: D-

Can't disagree with that. If you use all of the other factors Hamilton is a B

And if pigs had wings, they'd fly.
The point is even the Canadian press doesn't think Hamilton would work in the NHL.

Actually they don't think Hamilton will ever get a team. An entirely different concept, one I agree with 100%

I agree with turbo on this one. Get rid of Gary B and that D- becomes a B-.

Allow Blackberry to buy the team and be a real owner and Hamilton has an NHL team and a winner in year 1.

Bettman is an idiot.

I said something about fans from Hamilton in the "anti-fan" thread so now I would like to ask you. Seeing that the Sabres can be considered one of the barriers to entry, do you ever go to Sabres games and, if so, who do you root for?

I had said that fans from Southern Ontario seems to come in three varieties: 1) Sabres fans, 2) Sabres fans unless we are playing any of the six Canadian teams when they become die-hard (insert Canadian team name here) fans, and 3) Sabres anti-fans who see the Sabres (along with the Leafs) as one of the major barriers to another team in Southern Ontario.

I'd love to hear your opinion on this.

Turbo's a Leafs fan through and through. Has nothing to do with barriers or anything else. It's just a birth defect. biggrin.gif

As one genetically challenged loser team fan to another, you have it half right. Why would I even want to go to Sabres games when I am a Leafs fan. Seymour Knox is dead. No point in maintaining a boycott really even though it may appear I have one going on

Assuming you're referring to me, I asked God for one Cup in my lifetime, and he delivered. I am bound from asking for another by the threat of hellfire and damnation, or reincarnation as a Cubs season ticket holder, whichever is deemed worse (and that's a pretty close race right about now). biggrin.gif
