Bleacher Report is a waste of server space. Their credibility is quite low and they've been known to harbor plagiarists.

Meh, methinks this is the 1 out of 100 that they actually get right.

Prettttttty sure that article says what I said a few weeks ago... dontknow.gif

I still don't believe the league will permit a mid-season rebrand. I know the people who write these cheerleading articles don't care and won't bother to follow up with the AHL office (because after all, the league is bush this is all about the Whale).......but no way is there a complete change. Third jersey.....oh, that I think is certain.

You don't remember the WPHL fiasco in... El Paso, was it? Where the league allowed the team to change their name to the "Cow Patties" mid-season, complete with jerseys and a logo derived from the Cartoon Network show "Cow and Chicken"? Yes, it was only for a handful of games before they returned to the old name, but a mid-season name-change is not without precedent in North American minor pro hockey.

Well, Emil's source is quiet, mine... less so.

We're still on for the mid-season switch. Ice crew is set to change to the Whalers logo somewhere in mid-November. I've been given a date, but it's not definite so I'm not bothering to post it. NO IDEA whatsoever if the league has any idea of the plans or if they are approved.

Mid season is what I am hearing as well, problem is money being secured buy Baldwin, he has two brothers that are investors.

Here is my thing, no way chance in hell BOG, Andrews will allow the change over to happen mid season, esp with Andrews winning the award.
