One more bitching. It is pathetic that we are playing less opponents in a 30 team league than we did as a 16 team league 15 years ago.
Glad I only got half season tickets this upcoming season. I will be able to see all of our opponents plus a few 'repeats' with it. This is going to kill attendance. I know I will have a harder getting my friends to go if it is the same damn teams every time the Pirates play. |

From what I had read back in February in a business journal is that the AHL has been hurting for money. I have no idea if this is very true or not, but perhaps it is just something the league wants to do and cut back on travel. We all know Petro and Co. are all for saving pennies over fans happiness.

You are probably right but it sure won't help the season tickets sales. Marketing rep "Hello Mr. Please Play the West, how would like to see 3 teams 18 times this season!? For me, that increases the possibility of buying Manchester season tickets as well.
